What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file issued by the server of the website you are viewing and saved on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device. The cookie contains a unique code to recognize your browser when you visit the website or during future repeated visits. Cookies can be placed by the server of the website you are visiting or by partners with whom this website collaborates. A website server can only read cookies that it has placed itself; it has no access to other information on your computer or mobile device. The content of a cookie generally consists of the name of the server that placed the cookie, an expiration date, and a unique encrypted code. The retention period of this data on your computer is limited to 1 year. Cookies generally ensure easier and faster interaction between the visitor and the website (e.g., a cookie remembers the consultation of specific content and does not offer it to you a second time). They remember your preferences, speeding up your subsequent access to the site and making your visits easier. Additionally, they help you navigate between the different parts of the website. Cookies can also be used to make the content of a website or the advertising on it more relevant to the visitor and adapt the website to the visitor's personal tastes and needs. You can always return to this and refuse these cookies and/or delete them at any time by changing your browser settings (see point 5.3).
